Take part in a range of art activities using different materials and methods with the gallery as your inspiration. See behind the scenes, get involved in special events and visit other galleries.

Art Gallery

Where: Wolverhampton Art Gallery

Artforum is an arts youth group based at Wolverhampton Art Gallery, where you can try out a range of art activities and make your own artwork. It takes place on the first and third Wednesday of every month between 4.30-6.30pm, for 14-25 year olds.

As a member of Artforum  you can:

  • Learn about how the galleries work
  • Go on research trips to other galleries and to meet other arts youth groups
  • Meet new friends that share an interest in the arts and being creative
  • Share what you know already and learn something new too
  • Meet and have the opportunity to work with a range of arts and gallery professionals
  • See behind the scenes of the gallery and get involved with special events
  • Learn new skills
  • Find out more about a career in the arts
  • Gain a range of volunteering opportunities in the arts sector

If you are able to come on a regular basis then you could also build your own art portfolio. Through this you could achieve Gold Arts Award accreditation. If completed successfully Gold Arts Award could gain you up to 35 UCAS points. See for further details.

You don’t need to have any prior skills or knowledge – just lots of enthusiasm!
