Two girls; one kind of a lesbian, one kind of a liability, are friends. Kind of.
This is kind of their story and it’s kind of yours too.
IT KIND OF LOOKS LIKE A DOUGHNUT is a no-holds-barred girl’s eye view of the realities and responsibilities of having one more hole than a man has. It’s about living in a town where the miners’ welfare has recently been turned into a Londis, it’s about having a vagina, and it’s about what happens when the modern world, not to mention the vagina in question, kind of lets you down.
Couching female sexual health and the sometimes-uncomfortable realities of rural Midlands life in the most ancient myths and wisdoms we have, this narrative seeks to reawaken our relationship not only with the brilliant and bamboozling things between our legs but with the fascinating matriarchal heritage that society has urged us to forget.
