The Late Night Safe Haven provides somewhere safe, friendly and warm for people of all ages to wait for a licensed taxi after a night out.
It aims to make the city’s streets a friendly and welcoming place for all who head into the city centre to enjoy our restaurants, pubs, bars and nightclubs.
The Late Night Safe Haven acts as a place of safety providing care, advice and assistance for anyone who attends. Free water is available and visitors to the late night Safe Haven on Queen Square can receive support to help them arrange to get home.
The Safe Haven not only reduces the pressure on local accident and emergency departments but also offers support to local licensed venues as well as assisting in the reduction of night-time anti-social behaviour in the city. The Night First Aid team make a real difference by their proactive, positive and engaging approach.
