Reopening Wolverhampton City Centre - Top Tips

Welcome back to Wolverhampton!!!

We are so excited to see our shops, salons, gyms and outdoor hospitality back open. Our businesses have been working incredibly hard to put measures in place to make your visit safe and welcoming.

Here are some top tips to make your visit, a meal out, or shopping trip go smoothly.

1. The main shopping high street (Dudley Street) has a one-way system in place to help visitors keep to safe distancing measures. Everyone is encouraged to keep left.

2. Signage around the city centre provides guidance for shoppers and visitors and regular street cleansing is taking place.

3. To help limit the number of people in shops you may be asked to queue. Please keep to safe distancing measures whilst queuing.

4. Face coverings must be worn in shops, supermarkets, and shopping centres to help curb the spread of the virus.

5. Upon entering retail outlets you may be asked if you or anyone in your household has symptoms of coronavirus. If the answer is yes you will not be allowed to enter.

6. Retail outlets will have their own systems in place to help keep you a safe distance from other customers. This may include hand sanitiser at entrances, one-way entrance and exit systems, asking you to pay by card and not cash and rules on the handling of goods.

7. Where changing rooms are open and available to use, please be patient and mindful that you will be asked to queue and enter alone. To help businesses to manage changing areas safely, only try on clothes when necessary and keep to safe distancing measures whilst queuing.

8. When accessing hospitality venues, please check in using the NHS QR code or leave your details with the business.

9. Enjoy Wolverhampton Ambassadors, Covid Support Advisors, Environmental Health Officers and security staff will be on hand to assist visitors and shop owners with the new safety measures.

10. Public toilets in Victoria Street (opposite the former House of Fraser), Mander Centre, Wulfrun Centre and at the Market are open for your convenience.

9. These measures are in place to keep you, our traders and staff safe.

10. Finally, please allow enough time to complete your visit as our safety measures may mean your shopping takes a little longer. Welcome back and Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
