Thousands revel in City Centre for Enjoy Live 2019!

So were you there? We saw the biggest turnout on June 1st 2019  for the free event Enjoy Wolverhampton Live! This event is organised by Enjoy Wolverhampton BID (Business Improvement District) to draw more people into the city, that may not have been in for a while. Director Cherry Shine said “the whole day and night had been fantastic! once again the weather has been on our side” She went on to say ” it’s our biggest turnout yet. It was lovely to see so many families out in Wolverhampton, just relaxing and enjoying themselves. What we would like to do going forward is more frequent, small scale events. This is what Enjoy Wolverhampton BID is trying to do to support our city. We want to attract footfall and promote local businesses too.”

New for 2019 was the “Summer Sounds” stage hosted by Signal 107. Once again we had free face painting for the kids and some adults too!.  CBeebies star Andy Day was on stage along with The Greatest Showman tribute act A Million Years from 1pm to bring Queen Square alive! For the 3rd year we had stalls provided to city centre businesses to showcase their produce.

Live music was heard throughout the day before the main stage acts began from 6pm. Crowds sang at the top of their voices to four times Brit Award Winners Scouting For Girls, a DJ set from Clint Boon, and Molly Scott from The X Factor UK 2018 along with rising stars Stephanie B and Callum Beattie.  and  Comparing the day and into the evening was Signal 107’s Dicky Dodd and Danni Griffiths.
