CHRISTMAS LIGHTS SWITCH ON

This year our City Centre Christmas Lights event will be taking place on Saturday 18th November. The fun starts at 3:00pm, presented by our very own Dicky Dodd. Children and grown ups will be entertained with some special performances from Lia White and the event will be headlined by 90s boyband Damage. Lights switched on by The Mayor, Father Christmas and Damage.

SANTA'S GROTTO

Extending the Ginger Bread theme, this year Santa’s Grotto will be decked out as a magical ginger bread house, ready for Santa to offer a warm welcome to children and families. Located on the lower mall of the Mander Shopping Centre, Santa's Grotto is a must-visit destination for all who wish to create lasting festive memories. Open from Saturday 2nd December and every day until 23rd December.

For just £5 per visit, children can step into Santa's world, meet the jolly man himself, and receive a charming age-appropriate gift to take home and put under the tree. Booking is not required but to avoid disappointment, get there early!

The enchantment doesn't end there! For every paying visit, parents can share in the joy by claiming a free personalised letter from Santa, specially written to their children. This thoughtful keepsake will be delivered from the North Pole, straight to your home, creating a truly magical experience for the child to treasure.

Relaxed visit times are designed to provide an opportunity for young people with autism, learning disabilities or other sensory and communication needs who would benefit from a more relaxed environment. Our relaxed visits can be booked on the following dates:
