Eat, drink and dance the night away

Enjoy a great night out in Wolverhampton city centre this festive season.

You’ve picked your outfit, your hair’s looking fine and all that’s left is to decide where to go….

Eat

Traditional Christmas fayre or International cuisine? Independent restaurant or national chain? There’s so much to choose from…

Enjoy a three course meal and a magical night of cabaret under the stunning chandelier at Bank (pre-booking essential).

Feast at Lupo Lounge on Dudley Street - tapas style starters, followed by turkey smoked ham pie, anyone? - or The Royal London for an Xmas plant-based burger topped with lightly spiced BBQ jackfruit.

Fancy Christmas with an Italian twist? Rocco Restaurant and Rosso e Nero offer set menus with “tacchino” (that’s turkey in Italian) and pasta options.

Curry lovers will enjoy delicious authentic Indian cuisine at Dilshad, The Mountain Bar & Grill or Michelin rated Bilash, and check out Made in Thai, Queens Cantonese and Istanbul Restaurant for mouthwatering Thai, Chinese and Turkish dishes.

Drink

You won’t go thirsty in Wolverhampton.

Try boujee Christmas cocktails like Freddie the Festive Flamingo at The Slug & Lettuce. Or cocktails with a side of wings at Bunk.

Join the Christmas Bottomless Brunch Pub Crawl on 15 December. You’ll visit The Parisian, The Grain Store and The Bohemian for drinks, pizza, karaoke, and more.

If pubs are more to your taste, take your pick from The George Wallis, The Giffard Arms, Clarendon, The Goose, The Sunbeam, Posada, and LGBTQ+ bar The White Hart.

Dance

No night out is truly complete without a turn on the dancefloor.

Pop World is the place for cheesy tunes, and Planet is Wolverhampton’s only alternative nightclub.

Head to The Grain Store for pure garage classics (16 December), and global superstar Tom Zanetti (22 December).

Astoria, Wolverhampton’s brand new superclub, offers Bongo’s Bingo (15, 23 and 31 December), and worldwide DJs at Abstrakt Showcase (22 December).

Gorgeous serves the city’s biggest afterparty.

An unforgettable night for all the right reasons

Sometimes the unexpected happens on a night out.

Look out for the Enjoy Wolverhampton Night Guardians in their bright blue branded jackets, walking the streets and on hand if you need them.

The Late Night Safe Haven is a meet up point if you get separated from your friends, and offers first aid and a taxi finding service.

You can also charge your phone if your battery dies and, when you’ve danced so much you can’t handle heels anymore, get a pair of flip flops.

The Late Night Safe Haven and the Night Guardians are in operation Friday and Saturday nights in December, 10.30pm - 3.30am.

Find the Late Night Safe Haven at Queen Square, WV1 1TH, What3Words ///chair.trip.fees
