The University of Wolverhampton’s WLV Business Link has been announced as a headline sponsor of the Wolverhampton BID Excellence Awards 2025, reinforcing its commitment to supporting the city’s economic and social prosperity.
Launched in Autumn 2024, WLV Business Link is a dedicated business support network that connects local enterprises with the University’s wealth of expertise, resources, and training opportunities. It works across a wide range of sectors, helping businesses grow through tailored support, including short courses, upskilling, apprenticeships, continuing professional development (CPD), and leadership development programmes.

The Wolverhampton BID Excellence Awards, which celebrate the diverse range of businesses found in Wolverhampton, will take place on Thursday July 10 at The Grand Palace, Wolverhampton.

The Wolverhampton BID Excellence Awards take place every two years. The first awards were in 2023.
The 11 award categories include Retail Business of the Year, Hospitality and Leisure Business of the Year, Marketing Campaign of the Year and Rising Star.
Over 40 city centre businesses have been shortlisted as finalists. Finalists include Wolverhampton Grand Theatre, Genting Casino, Rocco Italiano, Access to Business, and George Green Solicitors.
The People’s Favourite Business is a public vote. The finalists are Ana’s Coffee Shop, Katie’s Kitchen, Rectory House Beauty and Wellness, Sweet Memories, Witch Elm Markets in the Mander Centre
