SEASIDE IN THE CITY - VICTORIA STREET - 28TH & 29TH AUGUST 2026
Enjoy Wolverhampton is thrilled to confirm "Seaside in the City" is back again for 2026! Friday 28th & Saturday 29th August 2026 lower Victoria Street will transform into a vibrant street beach experience.
Open daily from 10am – 5pm, this two-day celebration brings the seaside to the heart of Wolverhampton with golden sand, deckchairs, and the relaxing sounds of the ocean.
Families can enjoy a host of free activities for all ages, including face painting, helter skelter along with circus skills workshops.
Dicky Dodd will host the festivities on both Friday and Saturday, spinning feel-good summer tunes and hosting fun games like Safecracker, where you can win Enjoy Wolverhampton Gift Card prizes.

IS THIS REALLY A FREE EVENT?
Yes, it is free to attend. This 2 day event is funded by city centre businesses through Enjoy Wolverhampton Business Improvement District (BID).
WHAT TIME DOES IT START?
Each day opens at 10 am and closes at 5pm.
THE EVENT IS OUTDOORS, CAN I BRING MY OWN CHAIRS?
We are sorry but you will not be able to bring chairs into the event area. We have deck chair seating areas provided.
WHAT IF I BECOME UNWELL AT THE EVENT?
First aid provision is available throughout the day and the event is supported by RTC Medical Services or speak to event staff.
WILL THERE BE ANY TOILET/BABY CHANGE FACILITIES?
Baby changing / Easy Access toilet will be available at the top of Victoria Street throughout the day.
CAN WE SMOKE OR VAPE?
Smoking or vaping is not permitted in the event area especially the beach area. You are able leave and come back in after you have finished your smoking/vaping.
CAN WE EAT FOOD ON THE BEACH
No eating on the beach please.
CAN WE COME ALONG WITH OUR DOG OR OTHER PET?
Dogs except for assistance dogs are not permitted in the event area. We understand this maybe disappointing, but we have to consider health & hygiene issues along with children or adults that are not comfortable around animals.
